Mexico thanks the Embassies here in Addis Ababa of Ghana and Switzerland, and the International Committee of the Red Cross for the invitation to this event. It is particularly relevant if we focus on the pathway that is taking place towards the High-Level Conference scheduled for December 7th of this year in Jordan—an international occasion on the multilateral agenda that we must all transform into a genuine step forward for global justice.
Mexico considers that this forum, today, reflects the growing engagement of Africa with the challenge of upholding international humanitarian law in technologically complex conflict environments.
